Spend some time in the garden, discover the herbs growing here and enjoy relaxed, hands-on experiences inspired by the garden.

Guided walks

Garden Tours

Enjoy a relaxed guided walk through The Herbal Garden, exploring the orchard, kitchen garden, flower garden and medicinal garden along the way. Herbs are woven throughout the garden, growing alongside flowers, fruit trees and vegetables, creating a garden that is both beautiful and productive, guided by organic and permaculture principles.

As we wander, we will chat about how different plants are grown and used, I will share some of the stories behind the garden. With the seasons constantly changing, no two tours are ever quite the same.

Small Groups & Private Visits

Private garden tours can also be arranged for groups of friends, garden clubs and social groups. We can tailor the visit to your group, with plenty of time to explore the garden, ask questions and focus on the things that particularly interest you.

Workshops & Experiences

Herbal Food Workshop

We begin with coffee and a chat before heading into the garden to gather herbs together. Along the way, we will talk about choosing, harvesting and using herbs in the kitchen, with plenty of practical ideas for bringing their flavours into everyday cooking.

Back inside, you will use the herbs to create a selection of delicious things to take home and enjoy.

Growing Herbs

Discover how herbs can become part of almost any garden. We will wander through the different gardens, looking at the many ways herbs can be grown alongside fruit trees, vegetables and flowers, as well as in their own dedicated spaces.

Along the way, we will talk about choosing herbs for different situations, what they need to grow well and how you might use them at home. You will have a small workbook to use during the workshop and take home for future reference, and at the end you can choose a potted herb to take home and grow yourself.

Special Days

From time to time, the garden can also become the setting for something a little different. Special days may bring together a garden tour with another activity or experience, either created by The Herbal Garden or in collaboration with someone who has something special to share.

If you have a small group and an idea for spending time in the garden, you are welcome to get in touch and have a chat about what might be possible.
